How am I able to make it so that I will only get notifications on a project when someone comments on the project and nothing else?

Hello,

You would need to set up properly the project notification scheme. Your user should have only the Issue Commented option. You should make sure that your user is not added to other options or a group or a role of your user is not added to other options.
