Effort logging for closed Jira tickets.

Hi - I need to log efforts for closed tickets. I am trying to enter the effort and I am getting below error. Can you please help me out?

It's bit urgent can you help out quickly?

Your image isn't loading, but have you checked that your workflow permissions allow you to edit the effort fields for closed tickets? You could either change your workflow temporarily (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Questions-for-Confluence/Prevent-users-from-logging-time-on-a-closed-ticket-setting/qaq-p/1337382) or quick and dirty solution would be to temporarily reopen the tickets, change estimates and reclose
