Hi,
I have a number of users who have access to JIRA.
These users recently TUPE over to our company but I need to update their email address for logon purposes as they now have new email addresses.
As admin I log in and the only option I get is to suggest changes but this sends the email to their existing email address (I assume) which they no longer have access to.
Any ideas how I update their email address automatically so they can logon and request password reset
Thanks
What method are you using to provide the user directory?
Atlassian accounts, Google accounts or Atlassian Access?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Atlassian accounts belong to the person who created them, not an organisation.
If they need their email addresses changed, the owner needs to edit it ( via logging into https://id.atlassian.com )

Hi Nic,
The problem is that they cannot remember their password as it was defaulted on their old work laptops.
They no longer have access to this laptop or the associated work email address the account was linked to as they have moved from company A to company B.
I am thinking it will be best to deactivate their old accounts and setup new ones with their relevant new work email address if we do not have access to change it

The ideal solution is to get them to change the email address on their existing Atlassian account, but if that is not possible, then yes, you are spot on, you'll need to ask them to create new ones and then do a bit of migration work.
