I have tried the following basic troubleshooting steps to ensure I am not overlooking something simple:
Tried different browsers.
Tried different computers.
Had multiple different users try.
Tried in incognito mode.
Ensured workflows and schemes were all correct.
The bug, as far as I can tell, is that I cannot drag work items to another status column unless the column has 2 different statuses in it. The blue highlighting showing a valid column to move to (apologies for the amateur description) does not appear on any column. If I assign 2 statuses to 1 column in the board settings, all columns with valid transitions are then highlighted blue as normal.
Hello @Ethan Curry
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What kind of project/space does this concern? Click the three dots next to the Space's name in the navigation panel on the left. The pop-up will show the space type at the bottom and will say something like "Software Space Company-managed".
You said that you ensured that the workflows are correct? Do you have multiple workflows in this project?
In order to be able to drag a work item card from one column to another, the destination column must include a status that is part of the workflow for the work item type you are moving. Additionally there must be a transition between the starting status and the destination status. So, when you add a status to the column, you may be finally adding a status to that column that is part of the workflow for the type of item you are trying to move.
Can you share with us how the Statuses are mapped to the columns of your board? How to get to that information depends on the Space type you are using. For Software Spaces it is possible that you have not mapped all Statuses to board columns,
Hi,
You need to make sure that your columns match the workflow.
If your workflow is To Do → In Progress → Done, then your board columns must be mapped accordingly: To Do for the first column, In Progress for the second one, and Done for the last one.
