As we completed the migration process using new cloud to cloud migration tool we are ready to stop using one of the instances. We want to maintain it for reference for a while. We have no intention to use it actively.

What are the steps?

Are there specific standard plan features that need to be deactivated or removed like permission schemes, groups, etc?

Hi @Alexey Paveliev,

When you switch to the Free plan, there are two important things to keep in mind:

  • You won't be able to update permissions. So if someone can't access a project, you won't be able to change that later. Make sure no one will stay locked out of a project before switching to Free.
  • Free sites are automatically deactivated after 120 days of inactivity. Activity is simply logging in and viewing any page within a Jira product on your site. For example, if you log in and view a dashboard, report, Jira admin screen, or issue, any of those would count as activity. To keep your site active, log in and view something to restart the 120 days.

Hope this helps!
