Hello!
I am cleaning up my team's Jira board and I am trying to get the Done epics to disappear from our Roadmap.
Both the Epic Status and the regular Status are set to Done, but when I select "Hide all completed Epic issues" in my roadmap View Settings the 'done' epics still appear.
Secondly, my Done epics are not appearing when I filter by Done Status under the Issues tab. This leads me to believe that my issues are not being marked as Done correctly? I have attached a screenshot of my Epic history to show my process. Any ideas on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated!
*To note: our team uses Dev Complete in Status instead of Done, but putting an issue into Dev Complete sets the issue's resolution to Done.
Hello @Nat Schwartzenberger
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Regarding:
Secondly, my Done epics are not appearing when I filter by Done Status under the Issues tab.
Can you provide a screen image that shows us the filter you are using?
You said you are using the Done status and the Epics are not appearing. Based on the image you provided above the Status of the Epic is "Dev Complete" rather than "Done", so it is correct that they would not appear when you are filtering for Status=Done.
Based on what I've seen, the View Option for the roadmap to "Hide done epics" is based on the Status field (not the Epic Status field) being set to a Status value that is part of the "Done" Status Category. The Done Status Category is all the Status value that show up as green (vs. Blue used for "In Progress" Status Category and Gray used for "To Do" Status Category). Since your Epic is in a blue status, it is in the In Progress Status Category and therefore does not get hidden when trying to hide "Done" Epics.
Thank you for your answer! You are correct that I was confusing the two Statuses when it comes to filtering. I have updated our board so that instead of Dev Complete we use Done - and that seemed to fix all of my issues!
Thanks again for your help :)
