Hi,
I have question in regards to doing bulk upload of data into JIRA, is that possible to do ? the upload will be in an excel format.
And what are the steps of doing this process ?
Many thanks,
Ali
Yes, you can upload data using excel.
I can give you exact steps but need some info.
1. are you going to upload data for one project or multiple project.
2. It is fresh data or you want to update the existing issues.

Cool.. its pretty simple then..
1. Prepare your excel file. (Make sure there is no data validation)
2. Open your excel and click save as and select file format CSV comma separator.
3. Save it.
4. Got to Setting --> System --> External system Import.
5. Select First Option CSV import. --> browse and select your file. --. Click on next.
6. Select your project from the drop down and click on next.
7. Now on mapping screen make sure you map your excel column with corresponding jira fields.
Summary Field is mandatory to map
8. Once you map everything tap on next.
9. Click on Import and it will start importing..
Let me know if you face any issue..
