As of now, the directions are detailed based on Cloud implementation.

An Atlassian Cloud site with Jira, Compass, and/or Confluence

 

We have on-prem installation and I wanted to understand if we can setup the MCP Server with the Data Center version rather than a Cloud version

Please note the official Atlassian MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server is currently designed and supported only for Atlassian Cloud products (Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, etc.). An active Atlassian Cloud site is a prerequisite for setup and operation. Refer articles below:
