Does the dependency report and advanced roadmaps only work for blocking issues?

Hi, I can only see issues in an advanced roadmap when issues are specifically marked as blocking others.

If I have an issue that is dependent on another issue, it does not show up. (Details obfuscated)

Is this by design?

Hi @Ed Whyatt

It depends how you've setup your dependencies in Advanced Roadmaps.

A Jira Admin can check/modify this:

  1. Go to Plans > Settings
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Advanced roadmaps dependencies
  3. Check if there are any other link types configured (blocks is usually the default)

If more need to be added, from the same screen:

  1. Select Add link type and choose one
  2. Ensure the statement on how links will be treated is correct between A/B - press Swap if not
  3. Press Save Changes to apply these settings

Just remember these are platform-wide settings - so they'll be the same for everyone, not just one Plan
