Does anyone in this group work on DoD programs and use jira field "Priority" following IEEE 12207

Does anyone in this group work on DoD programs and use Jira field Priority following IEEE 12207. From my understanding Priority field is defined in Jira. I am wondering if anyone uses a field called severity for IEEE indication.

IEEE 12207 is about the software lifecycle and prioritizing work is part of that. Why wouldn't it be used?

I will re-phrase my question. I am wondering if it is being tracked in Jira with the priority field as I believe the definition of priority in Jira has a different meaning.
