Hello everyone, I am new here.
I’m trying to understand whether Jira allows adding multiple test scenarios inside one test case ticket.

Specifically, I want to know:

  • Is it possible to include several scenarios within the same Jira test case?
  • If yes, what is the recommended way to structure them?
  • Or should each scenario be created as a separate test case according to best practices?

Any guidance or examples on how teams usually handle this would be really helpful.
Thank you!

Hello @NAVYA SHREE N

One important point here: in standard Jira Cloud, “test case” is not really a native Jira concept, so the exact answer usually depends on the test management app Xray or Zephyr for example, not Jira alone.

From a best-practice side, I would normally keep one scenario per test case. That makes execution, reporting, and traceability much cleaner. If you put multiple scenarios into one test case, it usually becomes harder to see what actually failed.
