I'm looking at the new Deployments functionality for Jira Cloud, and noted that it talks only about integrating BitBucket Pipelines. Octopus Deploy integrates with Jira Cloud to publish deployment information, does this work with the Deployments feature? I enabled Deployments for my Jira Cloud instance, but don't see anything in the menu (the same goes for roadmaps)
Hi David,
Thanks for trying out the Deployments feature, sorry to hear you are not seeing any deployments. The feature should indeed work with Octopus Deploy.
In order to see deployments you will need to have the integration configured correctly, and you need to include issue keys in your commit messages. Octopus Deploy has instructions for setting up the correct configuration here: https://octopus.com/docs/releases/issue-tracking/jira.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Matt,
We worked out what the problem was - Roadmaps, Deployments and Code only shows if your project has a board created for it. Since we are a multi-disciplinary team, we are working on multiple related applications in a sprint, so have an empty project that uses JQL to create a multi-project board, the other projects were all empty.
Incidentally, the features were still accessible - I could open the Deployments page if I typed in its URL in the address bar, so it's just a menu rendering issue, I would say.
So that's the solution - create a board, and the missing links appear.
