Hi,

Do I need to upgrade postgresql from 9.4 to higher version when I upgrade JIRA software from 8.6 to 8.11?

Thanks,

Shadi

Hi Shadi,

yes - as the document "supported platforms" for Jira 8.11 lists PostgreSQL 9.6 as the oldest possible version to operate with.

In case you have to upgrade my suggestion would be to use a more recent version of PostgreSQL which is, as of writing, PostgreSQL 11.

Cheers,
Daniel

Thanks Daniel, I already upgraded it to 9.6 few weeks ago on next round of upgrade I use the newer version for sure.
