I'm a Jira user using my personal credentials provided by my company. I installed the Jira app on my iPhone but was not able to log on via my email address as I only log on with my username. So I created an account based on my email address, but is's not automatically linked to my account provided by my company. Do I have to delete my newly created account? Or can i Link both accounts so I can use the app logging on with my email address?
Hi Remco, welcome to the Community!
There are two Jira apps for iOS: one for Cloud, which has a blue background and white logo:
(Jira Cloud on Apple's App Store)
and the other app for Jira Server has a white background with blue logo:
(Jira Server on Apple's App Store)
You've tagged this question for Jira Server and mentioned you have a username-based account (also Jira Server). Can you double-check that you've downloaded and are using the second app - the one with a white background and blue product logo?
Cheers,
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your quick response. Within my company I got this response: no the Jira app can only be used with Jira Cloud and we are running Jira on premise. You can reach Jira via vpn (checkpoint), or on a vdi.
So I cannot use the app and now I wonder if I have to delete my newly created account (by myself and not based on my profile from my company). I guess it is not connected to my account which I use on a daily base to which I log on with my username which was provided by my company?
Regards,
Remco
