Even after selecting "Epics" by Swimlanes, the board doesn't show swimlanes sorted by each epic.
We would like to see each swimlane broken apart by each epic and then under it shows the features the epic is connected to.
Would the query be an issue?
Hi @Spruha Shah
I noticed in your board filter that you appear to have issue types named Epic and Epics. Is that correct?
The built-in type is named Epic, and your swim lanes are selected by Epics; that may be the cause of the swim lanes not working as you expected.
Kind regards,
Bill
We are using the issue type Epics not the built in type Epic
but if we want to display the swimlane based on queries and write a query to just show epics separately in each swimlane what would be the best query?
the option "Epics" in the swimlane dropdown is not working as expected so i will have to write a query that displays all epics by itself.
Can you help with the query or tell me if there is any other way to do this ? We dont use built in epic we have created our own epics issue type and want to use that.

That is correct, I believe: because your Epics type does not use the built-in mechanism for connecting issues you would need to create queries for each epic you wish to display and then add them for swim lanes by query.
To do that you will need to identify now you are connecting the Epics to their child-issues, and write queries. For example, as when using issue linking instead.
