Hi
Is there a way I can set some rule that if card reaches "Done" stage then display Due date and custom field named End date ( actual completion date ) otherwise only Due date .
Currently all card display Due date field , not the custom End date field.
Thanks,
Harpreet
Hi @Harpreet Singh ,
As an alternative you can use Status Time Free Jira app which displays status entry dates on each issue detail. In your case it displays done date as well.
Hi @Harpreet Singh -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What problem are you trying to solve by hiding the due date for completed tasks? Knowing that may help the community give you ideas.
I recall seeing others wanting to do this adding two custom fields: Planned Due Date and Actual Completion Date, and using scripting or automation rules to set them. Then displaying those fields always on issues reduces confusion with the meaning of the built in "Due Date" field.
Best regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy
Thanks for going thru my question .
After reading your comments , I think it makes sense to have both date fields for completed card i.e Due date and End Date ( Completion date)
Currently all card display Due date field , not the custom field named " End date "

I will edit my original question as well .

Thanks for that information.
For Cloud, I do not know of any way to dynamically change the field visibility with out-of-the-box features. Perhaps someone else in the community will know if that is possible.
Until then, that is why I suggested the two fields; at least then it is clear what is displayed. You can use automation to change the values, as needed.

Hi @Bill Sheboy ,
Could you please direct to me to an example or a link as to set up automation in jira for similar or other use case . I have not done anything like that before .
Thanks,
Harpreet
