Display Static Text on Jira View Issue Screen

Hi I am using a message custom field (for view) in JIra server 6.4.13 to display bold, static text on a issue view screen.

However this field is displayed as a normal custom field i.e. a field label and value.

A message field should only display value and not the name(label).

What am I doing wrong?

You're doing nothing wrong, that's the way the field has been written to work.

Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- Thanks for the revert. But then is there no other way to display static, hard coded text on the Jira view issue screen?

Not without writing your own add-on to provide it.  The message fields are a simple implementation to inject text, which are more of a work-around than a proper fix.

A proper way to do it would be to have panels you can inject, but there's no framework for arranging them, unlike with fields where you can move them around.
