Hi Everyone -

Seems that our accounts (and maybe domains) are linked and managed by our agency - a relationship that no longer exists.

We see messages like:
"You do not have access to Jira settings or Atlassian admin, contact your Jira admin to grant you access".

Is there any way to disconnect/unplug from their domain - Atlassian account services?

Thank!

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Every web domain has a single organisational owner, although that can be delegated.

I started to write an essay on this, but most of it is not helpful (unless you need to go down the lawyer route)

You need to look at ownership:

  • If you have stuff running on <something>.atlassian.net, then who is the owner of that?  (who has site admin, and is paying the Atlassian bills)
  • Do your people log in with
    • Google accounts
    • email addresses that belong to you
    • independent Atlassian accounts
    • some other method
  • Who actually "owns" the domain?  (If it's not <something>.atlassian.net, then the technical owner)
