Dear Community,
I am doing a small PoC on Jira Cloud Free. I've noticed annoying bug with disappearing issues. See video:
- all automations are disabled
- all filters are disabled
Still work item disapears when status changes, then appears after few minutes. Some are not visible even in all issues search, but available when I go directly to the issue via URL...
Any ideas? I've came across re-indexing as a possible solution, but this is not available in Jira Cloud...
Hi, @jwilkos
You're not alone. I have the same problem. Assigned ~10 issues to myself and changed status. But issues appeared in list of assigned to me only in a few minutes. And what is weird - there is no incident on status.atlassian.com.
I think, it will appear soon.
For me issues appeared after ~20 minutes but the problem is solved now. We've been noticing it for 3-4 hours.
Some hints if people come across this problem:
- 3 days ago we've changed several fields, workflows, link types, maybe it was the cause maybe not
- issues were disappearing across the instance, not on a single project, space
- no logs on automation, no filters or any other straightforward reason for not seeing work items on the board
- the issue got solved after my coworker created a new space - maybe that's the coincidence, or maybe it triggers some reindexing...

Hi @jwilkos ,
thanks for sharing your case and especially the video to see for ourselves. I just checked status.atlassian.com and it doesn't show any problems.
I expect that if this was a bigger issue, there would be more reports about it.
In your case, I would create a new board and see if the error persists there. If it does, you could also try and create a new project or test it with another project.
I suppose it's a fresh instance and there are no automations or workflow functions in place that could mess with this ticket that could lead to it being hidden from the particular column or board?
Also, the video shows the configuration of your "List" board, but not of your execution board. It could be helpful to see how this is configured as well.
Greetings
Philipp

Hi @jwilkos
I suppose you have done the standard things like clearing the browser cache and tried another browser?
