Disabling Sidebar

Is there any way to disable the sidebar in Jira ? I'm using the cloud based version

Hi Francisco,

Currently, it's not possible to disable the sidebar, it's possible only to reduce its size to show only icons.

We have feature request suggesting the implementation of this option:

I'll not accept this as a "solution" since it does not solve my problem of disabling the side bar. You may close this question as you see fit.
