I have read the documentation here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/configure-anti-virus-software-for-use-with-jira-server-398393384.html

Which states I should disable AV scanning:

Exclude <JIRA_Home> and <JIRA_Install> from antivirus scanning

What I don't understand is what <JIRA_Home> is and what <JIRA_Install> is.

Home could possibly be C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Jira but what is the install?

Many thanks in advance

There are two directories which are often referenced when administering Jira

  1. Jira installation directory
  2. Jira Home directory

From what I could find out from Atlassian Community the path for the Jira Installation directory is "C:\Program Files\Atlassian\JIRA" and "C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\JIRA" is reported to be the Jira Home directory.

Please double check and verify with the directories on your server if this matches.

Please also refer to this knowledbase article for further information:

Cheers,
Daniel
