Disable Emails sent out from Jira

I am aware that a project's notification scheme can be altered to the user's liking. Is there a way for email notifications be disabled while leaving in system notifications on?

Hi @Vikas Puttagunta ,

You can disable email notifications at the application level, but it's for all outgoing email, not for specific types of messages.  To disable mail for the entire application, visit: Admin > System > Outgoing mail and click the "Disable Outgoing Mail" button at the top right.

Some organizations disable mail entirely that but it's less common than limiting messages with notification schemes.  And of course, users have a few email related options in their personal profile as well.

So long story short, I don't think you can exactly do what you asked.  But tell us more about what you are trying to accomplish and maybe someone in the community will have a good suggestion for you!
