Description of a Space/project

For some reason, I cannot add a description to my Jira spaces (or projects in the previous parlance). Not in "Spaces administration", not in "Space settings" -> "details"

That is probably because your space is team managed. Company managed spaces do have a description field, but it seems team managed ones don't.

as mentioned in our documentation, Project descriptions are only available in company-managed projects.

Feature Request requesting this feature also for the team managed project:

• Ability to add a description on team-managed projects

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

Looks like you are trying to add description in team managed space.  Unfortunately, the option for a Description under the Details page does not currently exist as for Team Managed spaces, as it does in Company Managed spaces. There is a feature request which you can track
