Description field in email template

What is the proper way just to add description field in email template? It's not a custom field.

Description: $issue.description simply worked . 

And its not custom field

Hello, 

I wanted to add description when user was mentioned in comment

/opt/atlassian/jira/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/html/issuementioned.vm

added that line, position you can decide where you want.
