Deployments feature with GitLab pipelines

I just got an advertisement email about the new functionality https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/enable-deployments/.
This looks really nice, but it only works with BitBucket. Are there any plans to have this to work with GitLab pipelines?
