Delete user which has reporter of issues and created Dashboard - can be done?

Hi All,

we need to delete a user but the user has already reported issues and also created a dashboard.

My question is that is it worth to delete the user or it may harm the Jira? What about the issues the user had reported and what will be with the dashboard?

Can ypu please advise?

Hi Rumi,

you can't delete people, who are reporter of an issue. You have to change the reporter first.

I would deactivate the user, remove all his roles and groups.
