Defaulting number list instead of bullets

Is it possible that when writing a test step- the actions will be automatically listed by numbers instead of by bullets? Couldn't find it in the settings

I'm missing a context of where inside Jira issue you're writing "test step". If it's inside description of Jira issue, you have option to chose bullet format from header or simple use keyboard shortcut.

If it's some Jira plug-in, then potentially configuration could be inside it, but that is not usually an configuration option that you can find in software features.
