Default work type not working (android)

Hey,

On android v16 Jira does not default to the space default work type (task in this case). It keeps defaulting to Epic.

Known defect?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Based on my experience the default issue type applies only the first time you create an issue in a given project. After that Jira remembers the last type of issue you created in that project and defaults to that.

I just tested this again in software projects, Company-managed and Team-managed, and it still appears to be true.
