Default set of fields in an Adavnaced Roadmaps Plan View

Norman Walter April 12, 2024
I would like to know whether it is possible to specify a set of default Fields in a View within an Advanced Roadmaps Plan so that every user who opens the Plan is shown the same Fields as columns.

Currently it seems that the Fields are not part of the View definition, but each user has to add them manually in the Plan. I am not referring to Custum Fields (from the Plan settings) but to the regularly available fields on the Roadmap.

The background to this is that I would like to provide users with prepared Advanced Roadmaps Plans. Within these, I would also like to prepare the Field columns.

Hi @Norman Walter

You should be able to do this using Views:

  1. Setup the view you want - fields, etc
  2. Once set, click the breadcrumbs (...) in the top-right, and select Save As, and save the view
  3. Next, select the Views dropdown list (next to the breadcrumbs), and select the option Manage views
  4. Set your view as the "Default view"

This should set the view as the default when users' load the plan for the first time.

See more on managing views on this help page: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/manage-views-in-advanced-roadmaps-1044784244.html
