Default Screen Jira

When I log in to JIRA, it is bringing me to the issue navigator. I would like the default screen to be the dashboard. How do I make the default screen that people see when logging in be the dashboard?

What url are you trying to log to JIRA? The defaut url is dashboard and I suspect you are using a different url to login? Or someone have changed it in the source files.

I go to localhost:8080 it brings me to http://localhost:8080/secure/Dashboard.jspa to login. I put in my login details and login and it brings me to http://localhost:8080/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa. Why would it do that?
