Hello everybody,
I hope that someone using tempo timesheets could help me with the accounts.
I'm evaluating tempo timesheets and wondering about the default account configuration in the project settings.
It seems, that a default Account for a project is possible, but I'm not able to use this. If i do not fill the account field in my worklog, there is no account logged.
Could anybody help me?
Best regards,
Julian
Hi Julian,
This functionality is used to set a default Account on issues. When a new issue is created, the account set as default for the Project will be pre-selected in the Account custom field (see also https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/THC/pages/293799475/To+associate+the+Account+field+to+the+Jira+issue+view+in+Tempo+Timesheets+for+Server)
When using Account as work attribute, the Account set on the issue is pre-selected in the Account field of the Log Time dialog. ( see also https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/THC/pages/293766657/Using+Accounts+as+Work+Attribute+and+Linking+it+to+Worklogs+-+Tempo+Server).

Hello Susanne,
thanks for your answer. I don't want to use the field in a screen, because people use the screens, which should not see the account.
Isn't it possible to set it as a default for the worklog only?
Best regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,
It is not possible to set a default value for the work attribute.
I have forwarded this to the Product management team as a feature request.

Susanne

Hello Susanne,
thanks for your answer. That's an important feature for us. Without setting a default automatically without a screen, TTempo is not usuable for us.
Best regards,
Julian

We do not use default accounts but we do make selecting an account required when creating a Jira.
This forces the creator to select the correct account.
