Is it possible to use Deep Clone to clone either an entire project or a bulk set of issues, including links and attachments, from a company managed (internal) project to a customer (external) project?
I want to clone 300+ tests with links to 1000+ requirements from an internal project to a customer one (i.e. we both have copies).
What privileges would I require on the customer project side?
Thank you for notifying me, @John Funk :)
Hi @Patrick Tobin,
I am Marlene from codefortynine and product manager of Deep Clone for Jira.
Are you working with an app to manage your "tests" and "requirements"? Deep Clone is able to clone standard issue links, but it might not be possible for link created by Marketplace apps. You would have to test this first.
Besides that you must make sure, that all values that you want to clone are also available in the target instance. E.g. if you want to clone a custom issue type "requirement" you must make sure that this issue type is also available in the target instance.
You can read more about migrating issues in our documentation.
At the moment it is not possible to clone entire projects between instances, but we might provide that feature in future.

Thank you, Marlene. We do license Deep Clone. So, I will suggest this to the customer and try it out.
