Deactivate commenting for users if issue is closed

Deactivate commenting for users if issue is closed

Once my issue is in closed status I don't want users to comment on it. In my workflow I have set the jira.permission.comment.user property to false. When I close any issue the comment button on the top beside the worklfow transition buttons goes away. But how do I disable commenting from the bottom "Comments" Tab as well?

Is the "Comment" button still there after refreshing the page ?

I tried refreshing the page then it goes away but as soon as it closes the comment button is still there and before the refresh it allows to comment. Thanks.

This seems like a bug to me, but unfortunately I'm not aware of a workaround.
