Data (columns) a filter must provide for the Bubble Chart

I've created a filter to span three projects listing the issues in each.

I want the filter to be used by the Bubble Chart gadget. I currently get no data returned by filter when configured in a dashboard (I get the issues I want when running the filter separately)

Is there a spec on what columns the filter must have? and perhaps even the order of those columns?
