Dashboard column format date and time.

Hello,

Some of the columns on my dashboards show the exact date and time, please see the image below for example.

But for example, there are some columns like "Client Review Time" that show “in 5 hours” instead of the date and time which would be more helpful. However, it shows the date and time for the “Requested Target Date & Time” field.

The advanced search feature also is affected by this. However, it will often load in the date and times, and then convert it to an approximation.

Can someone help me change the column format?

Hi @Joanna Mae Natial ,

This is happening in my site also. I found this improvement suggestion that I think matches the problem you experience: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-77512

Date fields in Jira displays information in either relative ("in 3 days" / "Tomorrow") or absolute (9th of Aug) format.  Relative dates are displayed when the date value is within the nearest 7 days, if longer than that it turns over to absolute dates.

So a while back the new issue view was released where the user could change how they wanted to view this through clicking on the date stamp. That was for the issue view and it  seems however that this feature was not affecting the dashboard gadgets.

I also found other improvement suggestions to make the relative / absolute format configurable per custom field: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-45928

Sorry, not the message you wanted but at least an answer ;-)

/Lisa
