Hi. I'm trying to setup a DVCS connection between JIRA (Cloud hosted), and an on-prem GitLab server. I've got the OAuth setup working (I think), in that I can get from the JIRA DVCS setup screen, redirect into GitLab, and then press the 'Authorise' button. It then redirects back to my Atlassian account, but spins on the 'Setting up account' page, before appearing to timeout. I've tried in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox with the same result (Safari spits out a whole load of Access Denied errors when parsing the .map files). Any suggestions on what I can try?

Hi Chris,

I understand you're using Jira Cloud and having a problem with trying to use the DVCS connector in Jira to try to connect to a Gitlab on-prem server.  Technically the DVCS in Jira is not designed to work with GitLab natively.

There was a time when the DVCS in Jira Cloud could work with GitHub, and it still does with Jira Server.  However neither Jira Cloud nor Jira Server have ever had native support for GitLab repos just yet. We do have open feature requests for native support for GitLab over in:

That said there are several add-ons in our Marketplace site that you could use in order to connect Jira to GitLab.  A quick search has several to choose from.

Perhaps one of these can help.

Regards,

Andy
