Custom field of type paragraph [free text field] does not support free text search

Hi all,

I have list of IDs that are in a paragraph type field that are alphanumeric in nature such as 56bcba5ef789b837168b4571, etc.

According to the docmentation Free text fields should be searchable without a limit but it seems the limit of 255 characters is applied on the search. How do i fix this ? my current workaround is replacing the custom field with 'text'

`"jql": "project = project AND type = Bug AND cf[12345] ~ <<id>>",`

does not return the jira issue if the text of the custom field has exceeded 255 characters.

Short Text/Free text single line limit is 255 characters

Paragraph/Free text multiline limit is 32767

Thanks for responding to this. we are using paragraph free multiline fields and the search does not work on it as indicated and limits itself to 255 on the search 

I am also working with 1000 characters or less much lesser than the limit suggested
