Custom field not showing as a Statistic Type option

Hi community,

I'm trying to track a new metric in my JIRA instance to see how many times issues have to go through QA and I would like to report on this on a project level.

I have created the field "# of QA rounds" which is a number field that automatically increments upon certain status transitions, but it is not showing as an option in my dashboard. 

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Hi Anna,

You cannot use a number field with the issue statistics filter (or two dimensional for that matter) because it does not have a set known value. You can only use fields like pick lists or user pickers.
