Custom field not appearing in context field tab for certain roles

I have two fields in some projects that only appear to users with the Developer role when placed in the Description fields. If I move them to the Context fields, they disappear. However, keeping them in the Description fields is not a solution, since I don’t want my developers to be able to edit the issue description. When I use “Find my field,” all the green ticks are present, so that isn’t the problem. I also checked the project’s Permission Scheme in the Space settings, but I couldn’t find a permission that allows access to the fields in the Context fields section without also giving my developers the ability to edit issues.

It would be wise to separate development from production in your case. If this is not possible for you, building trust between you and the developers would be the first step into overcoming your fear of edited issues.
