Custom URI Schemes (obsidian://, omnifocus://) not clickable in Jira iOS App

On Jira Cloud web, setting a URI link on a URL field - for example omnifocus:///task/... - works well. Chrome correctly prompts to open the external application on macOS.

However, on the Jira app for iOS, the link function on the URL field doesn't seem to recognize URIs, as it doesn't prompt the third party iOS application referred to in the link.

Is this a known limitation of the Jira iOS application, and is there a workaround to make these custom URIs functional on mobile?

Thanks,

Welcome @Orlando L

Have you tried uninstalling the application and doing it again? If this is still occurring, then this is a bug. You can specify the steps to reproduce and also make a short video of the bug occurring and send it to the Atlassian support where you can make the request here

Hi Nikola,

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Jira iOS app and the issue persists. Tests were carried out as well with Omnifocus and Obsidian links in the URL field on iOS resulting in the same issue.

Does Jira iOS supports opening URI links for applications?

I'll go ahead and send a formal request to Support.

Thanks,
