Custom Formula Field not Stored

I have a custom formula field, which appear correctly calculated in the Views, but which show-up as null in both: jira issue search (JQL) and as a smartvalue in automation rules. 

Anyone knows how to surpass this constrain?

Do you mean a Custom Formula field for a Jira Product Discovery (JPD) project?

If so, I believe those field types are dynamically calculated and do not return values with issue searches or automation rules.  I just did a quick test and the REST API issue functions return the values a null.

That is a pity, in my case it would be highly desired to be able to retrieve this value.
