Custom Fields

I'm trying to use a custom field in automation. We have created the fields through the new way where we go into the project and then project settings and select issue type, we choose our type and create the field in there.

Issue I have is I can only find customer fields that were added via the other method i.e. Settings > Issues > Custom Fields.

It appears any of our config done through what feels like the new method isn't appearing in the old method and I'm unable to get things like the custom field ID from them. Can anyone advise how I find the custom fields ID number or is there a new way of finding a custom field using smart values?

Thanks

I've actually answered my own. It was quickest to go via the API I should have thought about that first.

Hello Andy

I'm glad you used API to find the custom field.
Alternatively,  I would like to share this link where we have other options for finding the custom ID.

I hope that will help you in the future.

Thanks for sharing your solution with our community
