Custom Chart add on - issues creating metrics

Liron Bdolach

Hey!

I started to use Custom Chart add on but experience some issues and could use some help.

  1. Velocity - I created velocity chart with the custom chart gadget. Table chart view, JQL: project = "XXX" AND status in ("Done", "Completed", "closed", "ready for deployment"), chart by sprint, showing story points and issues sum. Yet, for some reason under the done I see tickets that were completed in future sprints, but they are being attributed to previous sprint. Why is that?
  2. Is there a way to show planned story points vs. unplanned (we don't have a field to track that), just the logs.

Thanks!!!

Hi @Liron Bdolach ,

As far as I know, Custom Charts cannot be used for the Sprint analytics/metrics you are looking for since it doesn't use historical data to reflect it on the Chart. It only uses real-time data.

You can use the app I developed to cover your needs - Multi-team Scrum Metrics & Retrospective. It has pre-built standard Scrum metrics, plus you construct any custom JQL metric as well. Also, you can conduct in-place retrospectives with it and much more.

Hi @Liron Bdolach

Is that gadget a built-in one or from a marketplace vendor?  If from a vendor, I recommend checking their documentation and support information from the marketplace pages: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Liron Bdolach,

As advised already, you should contact the support team of the vendor that provides the add-on in question.

If you don't manage to resolve this, you can try other add-ons from the Atlassian Marketplace. For example, our Great Gadgets app offers many gadgets that you might find useful for tracking these metrics.
