Creating a new sprint

There is a current sprint from which I would like move the task to a new Sprint, but there isn't an option to Create Sprint for the existing sprint. How do I create a new sprint, should I mark the present sprint Complete and then create new sprint?

You can create multiple sprints in the Backlog view. However, if you wish to have more than one active sprint at a time you need to enable Parallel sprints under Jira settings.
