Creating a new layout

Is it possible to have two or more fields at the same row?

so far I’ve noticed you can shift the order of the fields but if two fields are short I would like to have them one next to the other. Let’s say priority and type or component. 

is that possible?

from what you provided I believe the second screenshot if a grahical mockup based on what you want to see - but not rather a site where you have spotted this representation of a screen, correct?

If so - I doubt this will be possible at all.

All screens I have seen so far, Jira Server and Jira Cloud, represent fields from the top to the bottom single column-ed.

An exception (of some kind) may be Cascading Select fields where the parent selection is on the left, then the child-selection on the right.

Additionally, you could group fields into tabs. In case this is of interest to you also kindly review the documentation:

Yes. I edited in photoshop just to illustrate my meaning.

I did group to tabs after realizing there is no other slick way to design the page. 

I will review the link you share to see if there are any further interesting configuration it provides.

Same row of what screen/view. Likely the answer is no but I’ll reserve that until I better understand.

Basically whatever screen I wish to re layout.

For example the issue creation screen.

Attached are the current layout and the one demonstrates what I would like to see.
