I'm investigating the possibility to create a Test plan in Jira. We are currently using an Excel document containing multiple workbooks. Each workbook contains the tests a User needs to execute for a specific area.

  • Is it possible to create these tests in Jira and group these tests by area?
  • Could we create a Summary overview that lists these tests by area and status(competed, in progress, failed, etc.)
  • Can this be done in Jira or do we need to use a Plugin?

Thanks,

Jeroen

Hi Joroen - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Yes, this is possible in Jira. And yes, it would be best to use one of the excellent plugins. I would suggest looking at Zephyr or Xray, but there are other good ones as well.

Thank you for the quick response John.

I will have a look at these Plugins.
