Created/Updated system dates format

Scott McDonald

Hello,

We recently upgraded JIRA Server to 8.20.4 and now the default date fields (created/updated) in a JIRA issue seem to be telling the user when approximately the ticket was created and updated vs a specific date and time.  Prior to the upgrade, it would display the specific date and time.  Is there a setting I can adjust?

Hi @Scott McDonald

You can't do that without restarting Jira.

There is a ticket here that was closed as Won't Do.

However, there is a workaround that is documented here.

I hope it was helpful.

Btw, the workaround will impact all users, it can't be configured to be effective per user.

Hi @Scott McDonald ,

I'm not sure if you can change that (can't check it at the moment), but if, then it is located in the System - Look and Feel Section I think.

But as workaround, if you hover over the date, it should show the exact date.
