Hi,
I'm a current Jira user, primarily using it to manage and track workflows for my projects (2024 Base SIMPS -Prod & Post-Prod Problem Solving).
I'm looking to create a new team-managed project, but I don't currently see the option to do so. I assume this means I need the necessary permissions.
Could you please advise on how I can gain access to create team-managed projects?
Thank you.
Hello @Sherif Aly
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Since you don't have the Create Project option in that menu, it is unlikely you have enough permission to create a Team Managed project. You can also click the View All Projects option and see if the Create Project button displays on the resulting page. If it does not, then you don't have enough permissions.
To gain the necessary permission you would need to contact your Jira Administrators. The ability to create Team Managed projects is a Global Permission that can be assigned to User Groups, but only your Jira Administrators can make the changes necessary to grant that permission to groups.

No. We are a community of user of our own copies of the Atlassian products. We have no access to the one you use.
You can click the Help button (the question mark) in the upper right corner of the Jira UI and check if the administrators had added a Contact Administrators link there.
