What will be the best way to connect existing JIRA software project with new work management project?

Can we add an existing project to a bundle instead of creating one?

Hi Rona - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Yes, you can link them together through connecting issues. It’s not a bundle per se, but you can use them in conjunction with each other.

What is your exact used case or scenario?

Up to now I used JIRA SW for both SW issues and project management tasks.

I am looking for a way to separate them but keep the connections between the project management tasks and the software issues

Yes, you can do that in the same way you did it when both were Jira Software projects. It will work the same way. You just need to have the appropriate permissions in each project.
