×I’d like to enable a functionality where, whenever someone mentions the phrase "Create Task: To Do List for Today" in a Microsoft Teams chat, a Jira ticket is automatically created with the subject "To Do List for Today". This would help streamline task creation directly from Teams.
I'm not aware of any built-in functionality by Teams/Jira but there might be ways using Power Automate sending a web request to Jira and create automatically a ticket. This might work for Teams channels but not for chats (?).
My name is Benjamin from yasoon. We are a 3rd party app vendor that is specialized on integrating Microsoft 365 tools with Jira/Confluence. We do offer a Teams integration which allows you to trigger for certain keywords in a Teams channel or for the personal bot chat but not a group chat. This trigger can be used within the Jira automation and you can consequently setup your Jira rule to create new work items. You could also go a step further and link this specific channel post to the Jira ticket.
You can find our app on the Atlassian Marketplace: Microsoft 365 for Jira (Outlook Email, Teams, Calendar) | Atlassian Marketplace. If you like to know more about all the functions of the app or want to see how your Use case scenario may look like, feel free to reach out to us here or book a demo here: Meet Microsoft 365 for Jira
Have a great day!
Best regards,
Benjamin from yasoon
